Old Central Church - Wedding Ceremonies

Listed on the Illinois Historic Registry, the church sets the stage for a ceremony you will remember forever

Old Central Church WeddingsGold, crimson, emerald, cobalt, and purple sunlight filters through the three, floor-to-ceiling stained glass windows, lending serenity to the Old Central Church as you exchange vows.

Though the Old Central Church comfortably seats 500 guests, ceremonies are described as intimate. Unlike typical sanctuaries, seating in the Old Central Church is within a semi-circle of pews-the bride and groom are literally surrounded by their family and friends as they begin their marriage.

As it was at the turn-of-the-century, the 2,000-pipe organ can accompany your procession down the aisle, and your first walk into the world as husband and wife.

Glorious cathedral ceilings peak to a common center, and mahogany woodwork extends skyward. Listed on the Illinois Historic Registry, the Old Central Church’s magnificent architecture and beautiful design make it a worthy rival to any cathedral, though it maintains a non-denominational status.
